Faust No :( KEIJI HAINO Yes :)

To much dismay (& Mystery), we report that we will not be playing the Chicago 'Adventures in Modern Music Festival' show with the legendary band FAUST. If you don't know them already, spank yourself and then check them out:

recommended: Faust Tapes or Faust IV/So Far"

Hey! Turn that frown upside down.

Instead we will play with the extremely prolific and equally mind blowing (& with lustrous long locks), KEIJI HAINO from Japan.
Check him out with Christian Marclay, Yamatsuka eye & John Zorn (and someone else, i don't think its Thurston Moore).

Wikipedia says:
"Haino cites a broad range of influences, including troubadour music, Marlene Dietrich, Iannis Xenakis, Syd Barrett, and Charlie Parker. He has had a long love affair with early blues music, particularly the works of Blind Lemon Jefferson, and is heavily inspired by the Japanese musical concept of 'Ma', the silent spaces in music [see Taiko for more information]." (from Wikipedia)

Hopefully he will jam with us.

These Are Powers play with us in chicago too, they are a fantastic live show.
